PRODUCTS
UKS POLYSTYRENE SHEET PLASTER
Product Description
It is a fiber doped, ready polymer-modified and cement- based mortar with high stability and high adherence, used to make plaster on polystyrene- based insulation sheets.
Usage Areas
It is used as plaster on Extrude polystyrene (XPS), Expanded polystyrene (EPS) or mineral wool sheets.
Advantages of the Product
It is resistant to external influence and not affected by water, cost effective and it has quite good adherence and a light- elastic structure thanks to polymers that are included in.
TECHNICAL DATA
Powder color Gray
Package 25 kgs kraft sack
Operating Temperature Minimum +5 °C / +35 °C surface temperature
Pot Life 60 minutes
Wastage 5-6 kgs /m2 powder building material depending on surface conditions.
Storage Shelf life 6 months. Products should be stored in a cool and dry place and in maximum 6 layer stacks.
Surface Preparation
Surface of the polystyrene sheet should be clean and dry.
Preparation Instructions and Application
Powder material (25 kgs) is added into 5-5,5 kgs (can be varied by air temperature) clean and cool mixing water and a homogenous, smooth mixture is obtained with a proper low-speed mixer in 3-4 minutes and waited for 5-10 minutes. Rested material gets ready for use by re-mixing. Water shouldn’t be added into the powder material. 5- 35°C is recommended for application temperature.
The prepared material is plastered over the polystyrene sheet with a steel trowel. The plaster mesh is coated on the surface when the mortar surface is wet and UKS Plaster Mortar is flattened by plastering at approximately 2 mms thickness. After the first layer of plaster operation is finished, it should be waited at least one day. After applying the second mortar on surface, plaster mortar is sponged down. It is made ready for coating by flattening the traces on the surfaces with sponge. After curing the surface, coating with any desired color and appearance can be applied.
Considerations
The prepared building material should be used within approximately 2 hours. The environment should be protected from wind and sun during application.
